Wheels that “stand” above all others

The Stable Quiver believes traditionally laced hand-built wheels are superior to any of the current low spoke count, high tension, nipple at the hub, $20/spoke wheels on the market today.  Each wheel built takes about an hour to lace and then slowly bring up to tension.  All spoke nipples are pre-lubed to ensure truing ease.  After all four dimensions of wheelbuilding are reached, and the spokes are stressed they are locked into place with DT Swiss spoke freeze.

The standard spokes at The Stable Quiver are DT Swiss Competition in silver.  These are double butted 2.0/1.8 spokes and the cost is $.99 each with brass nipples or $1.19 each with silver alloy nipples.  Any other spokes or nipples are sold by the box only.  Wheel builds with Mavic UST rims and tying and soddering spokes are outside the scope the wheelbuilding charge and will cost extra.

Wheels can be built using a variety of component brands, colors, and lacing, so prices can vary greatly.  Prices are usually whatever www.com sells them for. The Stable Quiver charges $35 for wheelbuilding and the standard wheel shipping cost is about $50 in the 48 states. 

When picking out wheels keep in mind that wheel durability is in direct relation to its weight.  Where that weight is placed around the wheel is also a factor in its rotational weight.  Also consider how a wheels profile looks to the wind.

Call or email the Stable Quiver to place an order.  You will be questioned about the specifics of your wheel build and then quoted a price.  After your payment of a check or money order is received, your order will be shipped using your preferred method and you will receive a tracking number.   Because these are custom made wheels, any returns or changes are subject to a restocking fee.  The Stable Quiver warrants its workmanship for the original owner.  Any component warranty is from the manufacturer. Parts purchased through the Stable Quiver will be warranted by the Stable Quiver through the manufacturer.
