Matthew Larsen owner/mechanic I have raced at some NORBA races, Fat Tire Festivals,
and BMX tracks, ridden a fixie on a wooden velodrome, finished organized road centuries on both coasts, done
triathlons, and cycle cross races, won state age group championships in cross country skiing and road biking, mountain
biked in Australia's Blue Mountains and skied +100 days in a season, and I also commute around Reno by
bike doing my errands.
When I'm not riding or working on bikes I can be found skiing,
planning my next epic adventure, playing with my dog, drinking a dark beer or any combination of the above.
I’m from a small Wisconsin town that I left for the U.S. Air Force where I was an aircraft mechanic. Afterwards in college I got
my first bike and ski shop job. While moving through the industry, I learned many skills and developed my own shop vision.
Along the way, I managed service areas, people, and entire shops. I also had a trail building business and
served on a political committee to better area bike pathways. Eventually, I worked for a bicycle parts distributor
as their wheel builder and mechanic. Now, after more than 10 years, in the bicycle and ski industry I am my own
shop.
Ride on, Matty
